I am very much a media junky. Music is by far my favorite medium, I cannot go a single day without hearing it. This page is set up to showcase my differing tastes in music and movies. Ultimately, my tastes can show a great deal about my personality and who I am by what I listen to and what I absorb.

I've never been big on television, aside from a few choice productions such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and other shows, but I've never really spent much time watching random things. I still have a somewhat large and growing movie collection, however. I'll own movies for a number of reasons, perhaps they were just entertaining or perhaps I thought they touched me in some way.

The people who know me best know that my taste in music is, well, varied. I will admit, before you read this, that I like pop music. I have CD's by Shakira, Madonna, Kylie Minogue and other artists, and will continue to purchase from them, and other acts I like. Why? Most people classify anything that sounds like pop as crap. I do not. There is very good, very original pop out there just as there is plenty of overproduced, cookie cutter, made-for-MTV alternative acts out there (Sum 41 anyone?). I define good music as anything that can affect my mood, either through melody, through lyrics or through the overall sound of the finished product. There's so much more to music than simply the message than an artist is trying to get across, and there's. If that were the case, lyricless Classical music never would have been successful. This library is only a fraction of the music I own, however. With the advent of legal methods of downloading music (so I can still pay for songs I think are worth it and support artists I think deserve it), my digital library is far greater than my CD collection.
